Top of the River
This is the best of the seafood places near Talladega. If you have a Garmin, it will get you there and it will prove itself to be worthy of the visit. Great seafood. Awesome catfish! We love the fried pickles in a big way.
Several racers and people in the industry make the trip for a good meal. We saw Morgan Shepard there last year signing some hero cards.

The Ark
It may not be pretty from the outside but for over 77-years the Ark has been a Riverside, Alabama institution. When you walk into the joint you see pics of the owner with various racing personalities. Our favorite photos are the ones with the King Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt.
You can have catfish filets or the local whole catfish! Good good stuff with a local flare.
It's right next to one of the most unusual dive-bars around "The Bootlegger Lounge" where we occiasionally karaoke. Shhh, don't tell anyone.
