Ridgewood Barbecue
Ridgewood is MD's favorite Barbecue place in the country. Benny Parson's introduced him to this special place years ago. Ridgewood is only 10-minutes away from the track. The wait tends to be long depending on when you arrive, but it's well worth it. I take new people to this gem every year. Order the Pork Barbecue platter with the fries. Oh, also make sure to get some of Mrs. Proffit's Baked Beans. Yum! Also... The Bluecheese has become a local legend.

Scratch Brick Oven
Part wood fired pizza, part bakery, all delicious. You like organic? This is your place. "Not for Everyone" is one of their themes and we like that. It's not a one of these fly by night funky pizza chains. Scratch has creative food and flavor cookedin a hand-built brick and riverstone oven. They also have Gluten Free Pizza options.
Try putting on a record from their vinyl record collection. You can be the dj!
We say try the "Full Trust" or "Partial Trust" on the menu for a pizza. Trust us it's cool! Oh, it's BYOB as well!

Cootie Brown's
This place is downright funky and I love it. Huge fan of the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. Great sandwiches as well. MD took a group from Motor Racing Outreach there last year, as well as Riki Rachtman... all had fun and liked the place.
Cootie's has a creative menu but mostly is a fun experience. Try their pizzas....you can build them how you like them. If you see Key Lime cookies up by the counter... leave them along because they are all mine!
