One of MD's favorite photos: "The King" Richard Petty gives MD a Tums and says "you're gonna need this." while eating a Jesse Jones Dog!
Babe's Chicken
When I first saw this place and saw the lines outside, I knew something was special about it. Inside, mix-matched chairs, picnic tables and a friendly staff awaits you. Fried Chicken is the name of their game.... simply put. They only have fried-chicken and chicken-fried steak on their menu. Served family style with Mashed potatoes, biscuits, salad and corn. Tony Stewart loves this place!

Just minutes from the airport and about 30-mins from the track, North Main BBQ is a great spot. They claim to have the "world's best ribs" and have 23-years of bbq experience behind that statement.

We're excited to have former MRO pastor Lonnie Clouse back at the track Texas weekend. He is up from Mexico, where his family moved to care for orphans. You may have heard of Lonnie or his ministry, Back2Back, from many NASCAR drivers who suppport it. If you haven't... click here

Spicy Chocolatier???
You may have noticed the Spicy Chocolatier ad on Speedeats.com? It's not some big company coming in and advertising with us. It's a good friend that works in Motorsports TV named Darren. After years of experimenting his chocolate creations on the road with us, he has perfected his craft and is starting to sell his chocolates. The chocolates are amazing. Help out this start-up company and try some of their chocolates. They are very yummy. For the spice lover, the sky is the limit. For wimps like MD... they have mild chocolates.

Twisted Root Burger Company
This place is pretty cool! Three chefs who were sick of eating ordinary burgers opened this place. The burger menu is fantasitc and creative. They have their own rootbeer and homemade condiments. Last time at Twister Root, MD had a Venison/Bison Burger with jalepenos that was Uber-Yummy. Check it out... it's just minutes from the track and across from Babe's Chicken!

Esparzas
Located in historic downtown Grapevine, TX, Esparza's is a gem. It's in an old house-like building. It's eclectic and offers a creative menu of Tex-Mex dining. You can eat inside or outside under draped lights.
I introduced my friends from Racing Electronics to this place and they have been going ever since. My favorite item on the menu... QUESO FLAMEADO, a skillet of melted monterey jack cheese topped with your choice of beef steak or chnicken sauteed in gralic butter with onions and bell Peppers, finished with more melted monterey jack cheese!

Cattlemen's Steakhouse
Going to the Historic Stockyards? Well, before you watch some bull-riding and square dancing with a cold beverage at Billy Bob's... hit this place. Cattlemen's is a famous steakhouse. Don't get a salad, or chicken. BEEF is their specialty. They've been doing great steaks for over 62-years at Cattlemen's. Have also heard that Mike Wallace is a big fan of this joint!
