Mac's Acadian Seafood Grill
It's a hidden little place where the locals like to go. On the way to the track from the Ann Arbor area it's in the small town of Saline, Michigan. There isn't much signage so keep your eye out for it.
Mac's has gourmet seafood in a casual setting at reasonable prices. I'm telling you, this place is awesome. Wood grilled fish... how can you go wrong?

Sidetrack
In a small little downtown village of Ypsilanti, Michigan sites a pretty darn cool spot. Friend of Speedeats, NASCAR.com's Justin Oppman, showed us "Sidetrack." Located across the street from a Hudson car museum, Sidetrack is now one of our favorite spots. Who can beat their burgers, sweet potato fries and creative menu? The burgers are handcrafted and delicious. They have a great beer selection as well. We suggest sitting outside in their unique ivy covered patio that gives you a great view of the museum and street.

BD's Mongolian Barbecue
Yeah Yeah, I know it is technically a chain. BD's rocks and it's their best location in my opinion. A bunch of us have been going to this Ann Arbor BD's for years. If you've never been, it's simple. Picture a salad bar where you fill your bowl with meat, chicken or poultry, veggie and toppings, spices and sauces. Then you bring it to a stone grill and they cook it for you. It's a ton of fun! Count me in for at least two bowls. Shhh...maybe three!

Lafayette Coney Island
Two competing Coney Island Hot Dog places rival one street in Detriot Michigan. Some say "American Coney Island" is the best. Others say Lafayette (next door) is better. I think Lafayette is the best Coney Island Dog in Downtown Detroit.

FAN CORNER
Ember's Bar and Grill by Charlie Alvarez
Simply put, Embers Bar & Grill in Tecumseh, MI is a great place to eat. They have a full menu ranging from the standard bar fare of burgers and wings, to steaks, sandwiches, salads, and more. With a generous kids menu and, of course, a well stocked bar, it boasts a family friendly atmosphere during the day as well as an excellent atmosphere for adult relaxation after 9pm. The servers are friendly almost to a fault and service is definitely "top-shelf." There are dinner & bar specials every night of the week and, if you're in the mood, they feature karaoke on Thursday and Saturday nights @ 9pm. Located on M-50 in Tecumseh Plaza on the west side of town, it's an easy drive from Michigan International Speedway, and one that's worth the wait.
