The Fish House
Speedeats Says "One of the best on the road and a tradition worth going out of the way for!"
THIS is hands down one of our favorites on the NASCAR Road.  Why? It's a Fish Market and Restaurant. It's nothing fancy but the food is amazing.

So many NASCAR people stay south of Homestead Miami Speedway and most in the know dine at the seafood restaurant that tops MD's lists of favorite places to eat on the road.... none other than "The Fish House".  MD's favorite is the Yellow-Tail pan-sauteed.  They take the Fish and Dust it with flour, dip it in egg wash, and sautée it  in butter, lemon and sherry. Yummmm.  The Mahi is fantastic as well!  Another wonderful dish is the seafood Matecumbe.

If you are staying in Miami, it's a long drive. MD has done it tho!

Cafe Versailles
Speedeats.com says "THE place for Cuban food and bakery treats!"
There are a few Versailles but the one below is the best of them all.  Located in a cuban neighborhood named "Little Havana", Versailles is a family favorite.  Part diner, part bakery and all amazing.  Load up on dinner and bring home some pastries.

If you are on the go, you can order from their outside-standing take out window.  The Empanadas are to die for.  For coffee lovers get a Collada (Cuban Expresso) or a Cafe con Leche.

Havana Harry's
Cuban home-cooking in a nice casual sit-down atmosphere.  This super comforable restaurant is a favorite of MD. Make sure you start out with Maraquitas... we choose Maraquitas Ole (Plantain Chips with cheese and spanish sausage).  Any of the steak and seafood dishes at HHarry's are can't miss dishes.  The plantains are amazing.

It's in a hotel (The Sanctuary Hotel) ...so what has this place on the list?  They are well known for their Plantain Crusted Mahi, one of our favorite dishes! Nationally acclaimed Latin Chef, Horacio Rivadero has a creative menu of Pan Latin, Spanish and Caribbean dishes. Indulge in Crispy Pork with mustard Mojo, Beef Tenderloin Churrasco or Florida Sweet Corn Empanada. Who can go wrong starting the night out with Ceviche?

Blue Marlin Fish House
We always recommend places for good smoked meat...why not smoked fish?  One of the area's most famed fish house's. The Blue Marlin has been featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. You can get some of the best fresh, smoked fish at Blue Marlin. And the smoker...it's done with homemade charcoal feeding the unusual smoker unit.  Try the Blue Marlin fish dip!
